Looking for accommodation near downtown New Braunfels? Look no further than Opa Seidel’s Haus! This charming 1940s-era cottage is situated directly across the street from Schlitterbahn and just one block from the Comal River, making it the perfect spot for a fun-filled vacation. You can spend your days floating down the river and then relax back at the house, or head to Schlitterbahn for a day of excitement, come back for lunch, and then head out again for more fun in the sun. The house is fully furnished with linens, towels, cooking utensils, a washer/dryer, and wireless internet. In the living room, you can watch your favorite movie or sports team on the TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking supplies, from bowls to utensils. Or, if you prefer, you can choose to barbecue outside on the charcoal grill. The house can comfortably accommodate up to six people, with two cozy bedrooms, each furnished with a Serta iComfort queen-size mattress and a sleeper sofa in the living room.

Just so you know, Opa Seidel’s Haus is located next door to Oma Seidel’s Haus, which can accommodate up to 10 people. If you have a larger group of up to 16 people, you may be able to reserve both properties for your visit. Don’t miss out on everything these homes have to offer!

About the Owner

Hello. My name is Christine Seidel, and I have been working as a Texas Realtor® since 1999. I am currently semi-retired and only work for my family. My husband, John, encouraged me to pursue a career in real estate, and in February 2003, I opened my own real estate company called Seidel Properties and Resort Management Company. In 2012, I sold the company to my big brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Dinah. Since Covid and Snow-vid, I’ve been feeling a bit bored and decided to return to the vacation/resort business again with our personal properties in New Braunfels and Aggieland (Bryan, TX). I remain active with my volunteer work with different organizations such as the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce, Comal County Emergency Service District #7 (ESD7), Braunfels Foundation Trust, Leadership New Braunfels, New Braunfels City University, National Association of REALTORS, and Texas REALTORS. In my free time, I love playing tennis, hanging out by the lake, spending time outdoors, taking my dogs for a ride in “their jeep,” and enjoying the company of family and good friends. I believe in enjoying life to the fullest.
